John Carroll Awards Reception and Banquet

The reception before the banquet was held in the Chicago Hilton & Towers' Normandie Lounge, which features paneling and chairs from the S.S. Normandie.

Awardee Edward J. McManimon, III (C'68, L'71) chats with Carol and Christina (C'05) Besozzi.

The Georgetown Chimes opened the banquet with a rousing version of the "alma mater."

University President John J. DeGioia addresses the crowd at the banquet.

1987 John Carroll Awardee Paul Anthony (B'64) narrates the traditional banquet slide show, which honors — and pokes a bit of gentle fun at — the year's awardees.

John Carroll Awardee James J. O'Connor Sr. (L'63) speaks on behalf of the 2005 award recipients.

Ryan H. Maher, S.J. (I'85) gives the benediction to close the event.
